# AppRill vs Peekly: start with the evidence you need

Where to draw the comparison today, and why planned features should not get credit.

A product comparison becomes unhelpful when it gives one product points for features that exist and the other points for its roadmap. AppRill is the product behind this journal, so that temptation deserves special attention.

Peekly publicly offers discovery with performance estimates and creative/paywall research. AppRill's implemented research workflow combines a catalog, chart observations, reviews where collected, app-linked creative records and saved tracking. Availability and freshness vary by app and source. Our methodology and live data-status screens are part of the product, not fine print to omit from a comparison.

## Start with the expensive unknown

If your decision depends on a revenue estimate, inspect how the provider defines it and what evidence underlies it. AppRill's business-level observed revenue records are not equivalent to calibrated app-store revenue estimates. A number attached to a company must not become an app's IAP earnings through association.

If your decision depends on changes, inspect actual captured dates and history. A tracker with no baseline cannot reconstruct the past simply because the interface has a date picker.

## Use a small, fair test

Pick apps from your own niche, including one less prominent example. Compare identity matching, source links, dates, useful fields and your ability to save the result. Write down what each tool cannot answer.

Then examine price and ongoing effort. A paid tool can be worthwhile if it removes repeated work. A free workflow can be enough if your question is narrow. Neither conclusion is a failure of research.

We would rather help you understand that tradeoff than declare AppRill a universal winner. Compare the behavior you can use today, and revisit when either product changes.
