ZolaBongo is an Android tablet app that helps researchers administer the ZolaBongo standardized, tablet-based cognitive tasks in settings with limited or unreliable internet access. The tasks were created in PsychoPy and are hosted on pavlovia.org from where they can be downloaded onto the tablet for offline data collection. During administration, sessions run fully offline and participant results are stored locally. When connectivity is available, those results can be uploaded to the corresponding Pavlovia ZolaBongo projects via a simple sync step. The task set includes: • Hearts and Flowers (reaction-time task for assessment of inhibition) • Forward and Backward Digit Span (working memory span) • Progressive Matrices (forced-choice nonverbal reasoning) • African Proverbs (verbal reasoning) Key capabilities: • Offline-first administration on Android tablets for inclusive neuropsychological testing and research • Local data capture with later upload/synchronization to Pavlovia • Designed to be straightforward for research assistants with little to no previous research experience to administer in field settings Important disclosure: This app is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition.
