Store description excerpt
The Zoroastrian day begins at sunrise, not midnight. Zo Calendar is built around that one fact, and gets the rest of the details right too. Made for Parsi, Irani, and Zarathushti families worldwide, in all three calendar traditions: Shahenshahi, Kadmi, and Fasli. Switch anytime, or compare all three dates with a single tap. TODAY'S ROJ, COMPUTED PROPERLY Your Roj and Mah, resolved from the real sunrise of the city you choose, with the Roj Yazata's theological meaning, the prayers traditionally associated with the day, and artwork for every Roj of the month. LIVE GEH TIMES The five daily prayer periods, live on your calendar. Havan, Rapithwin, Uzirin, Aiwisruthrem, and Ushahin, with today's exact start and end times and a countdown to the next. Tap any Geh for its presiding Ratu, associated Yazatas, and recommended prayers. Biji Havan is handled correctly, absorbing Rapithwin's prayers when Rapithwin falls dormant. Optional reminders at the start of each Geh you choose. MOON PHASES: PUNAM, AMAS, CHANDRAT Punam (Full Moon), Amas (No Moon), and Chandrat (the first crescent), shown on the day itself and explained on its detail screen. CHOGHADIYA 16 periods a day, eight by day and eight by night, colour coded by auspiciousness, with Amrit, Shubh, and Labh highlighted for ceremonies, travel, business, and new beginnings. EVENTS: SACRED DAYS AND ANNIVERSARIES One tab for everything the calendar marks, month by month, filtered to exactly what you observe: Sacred Days, Fire Temple Anniversaries, Priest Anniversaries, Community Baj, and Moon Phases. Sacred Days: Navroz, Khordad Sal, Muktad (Farvardigan), all six Gahambars, the five Gatha days, Pateti, and Jashan days, each with its spiritual significance, food traditions, and prayers. Persian heritage festivals available as an optional overlay. Sacred Anniversaries: all eight Atash Behrams and over 50+ Atash Adarans, with founding year and city for each, plus priest commemorations and community Baj. Notifications narrow to the regions you care about. Roj and Mah doctrinally validated, disputed entries withheld until priestly confirmation. MY MOMENTS Your own tab for the dates that are personal. Roj birthdays, Baj remembrances, Navjote and wedding anniversaries, reminded on the correct Roj every year rather than a fixed Gregorian date. Gatha born family members are handled correctly. Moments need a free sign in with Google or Apple, which is what keeps them backed up and waiting on every device you use. Everything else in Zo Calendar works as a guest, no account required. 70+ CITIES, NO GPS Choose from 71 cities across 36 timezones and every calculation follows you. Change your city and the Geh times, Choghadiya, sunrise, and Roj all update instantly. No location permission, ever. ALSO IN THE APP A considered dark theme, built for real contrast rather than a colour inversion, alongside light and system-follows. Reminders you can tune category by category, at a time you choose. A built-in FAQ cove
