Zawal is a private, offline prayer companion for Muslims who want accurate prayer times and a true Qibla — with no ads, no tracking, no account, and no subscription. Zawal shows the calculation method and parameters behind every time — ISNA, Muslim World League, Egyptian, Umm al-Qura, or Dubai; Standard or Hanafi Asr; and high-latitude rules — so you understand where your times come from, and can nudge each prayer by up to 20 minutes toward your local timetable. TRULY PRIVATE, TRULY OFFLINE Zawal never connects to the developer, or to anyone else. There is no analytics, no advertising, no account, and no cloud. Your location never leaves your phone; it is used only on-device to compute your times and Qibla, and you can also choose a city by hand. DESIGNED AS AN INSTRUMENT A calm, considered solar-instrument interface built for daily use, in English and Arabic with full right-to-left support. ON ACCURACY AND REVERENCE Calculation methods differ between authorities, and trusted timetables can vary by a few minutes — Zawal explains the parameters and lets you calibrate rather than claiming one "correct" time. Quran text is included verbatim from the Tanzil project (Arabic) and the public-domain Pickthall translation (English), unaltered and attributed.
