Write in your language. Everyone reads in theirs. Zanmi translates every message as it sends, so a conversation works even when no one in it shares a language. Your mother writes in Kreyòl. You read it in English. She reads your reply in Kreyòl. Neither of you switches. HOW IT WORKS • Pick the language you read in. That's the whole setup. • Send normally. Translation happens on the way. • Tap "See original" under any message to read exactly what the sender typed. • Group chats work the same way: four people, four languages, one thread. 55 LANGUAGES Including Haitian Creole, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Filipino, Arabic, Japanese, Korean, Hindi, Vietnamese and Chinese. BUILT FOR REAL CONVERSATIONS Translation is idiom-aware, not word-for-word. "N ap boule, wi" becomes "We're doing great," not "We are burning, yes." Messages always deliver. If translation is briefly unavailable, you get the sender's original text rather than nothing. ABOUT TRANSLATION AND YOUR PRIVACY Message text is sent to a third-party AI translation service to be translated. Zanmi is not end-to-end encrypted. Our server has to read a message to translate it. We are direct about this because you should be able to decide. The Privacy Policy sets out exactly what is stored and who it is shared with. Delete your account and everything in it at any time from Profile → Delete Account.
