YouChoose is an awareness campaign for young people in the Municipality of Haarlemmermeer, to help them eliminate stabbing violence through better choices. in this interactive Virtual Reality film, students take on the role of perpetrators and victims. How the story ends depends of the choices you make along the way. Through the combination of a VR experience, plus further conversations and coaching, young people learn to better assess risks and choices in their own lives. Our ideal is that they develop their best sides, instead of endangering themselves or others. The film was shot with special VR techniques with a cast of amateur actors from the target group with the cooperation of the police and ambulance services. The music is courtesy of Frenna and local talent Taze M. A (free) password is required for access, intended for schools and other forms of coaching. Teachers and other supervisors can request this free of charge via youchoose@haarlemmermeer.nl To experience the VR optimally, a "Google Cardboard" and a smartphone are required. If you treat the app in class, you can also get it from YouChoose. Warning: Violence occurs in this app. Suitable for young people from the age of 12, and intended to be used together at school under supervision.
