The You Play I Pray app was designed to help parents and coaches to use sports as a tool to point their athletes to Christ. Through team devotionals, prayers, and encouragement, this app will equip you to bring church wherever sports may lead you. Team devotional: To equip coaches and/or parents to create church wherever sports may lead them on a Sunday morning. - On Sunday’s at the ballpark, choose one of the topics to go over. Allow 15 minutes before your first game to walk through it with the team. Ask one of the players to read it aloud. This helps them take ownership and being learning how to lead themselves. Each different Sunday the players can take turns reading. Take a minute to share a personal story of how the scripture applies to your life or team. If time allows ask the players if they have a story to share as well. Ask is anyone feels lead to close your time in prayer. Pray for Your Athlete: Do you struggle with feeling like you don’t know how to pray? Do you believe there is power in prayer? Do you find yourself knowing you should pray but you do not know where to begin? This is a tool that guides you in covering your athlete in prayer.
