XPipe Pro works out the numbers a pipefitter needs on the bench and draws the part they belong to, so the figure on the screen and the shape in your hands are the same thing. Every answer comes with a scale drawing of that exact assembly, dimensioned where you would put a tape on it — not a stock diagram of something similar. TWENTY CALCULATORS Assembly and layout: • S type — two half elbows in one plane, with or without an insert. Six ways in: the angle, the offset, the overall length, a fixed 45°, the insert, or the offset and length together. • Rolled elbow — a 90° elbow turned about the inlet axis and a fitting that lays the run flat again, with the same six variants. • 3D run — a line across X, Y and Z. Both elbow angles are solved separately because they differ, and the box you measure is drawn around the pipe. • Elbow cut — cutting an elbow to an odd angle: take-out, heel and throat arcs, chords, heights, and the arcs to mark back from the face you already have. • Segmented elbow — a bend built from straight pipe: every segment length, the saw angle, and the wave to wrap round the tube to mark the cut. • Branch / fishmouth — one pipe let into another, square or on the skew: the length to cut, the set-back at up to 24 stations, and the hole to cut in the run. • Cone layout — the sector to strike on flat sheet for a full or truncated cone, with the sheet size, the surface area and the volume. • Square-to-round transitions — twelve pieces off one construction, either opening the bigger one, plus a round pipe run down into a pyramid. • Pipe bank — several lines making the same offset, bent at one station: how far to hold each fitting back so the spacing on the slant matches the straight. Shop and welding: • Reducer cut, purge gas, slope, pipe mass, pressure test, thermal expansion, cold spring, weld bevel, shrinkage allowance, stud bolt torque, and maximum span. • Scientific calculator — full expression parser, DEG/RAD, memory and history. A STANDARDS LIBRARY YOU CAN SEARCH BY SIZE Type a dimension on its own — 53 — and the library returns every standard that tabulates it, saying why it matched: "in the table · DN 50 · Ø53 × 1.5".
