Store description excerpt
WIRE NERVE is a steady-hand distance game played with one finger on a neon high-voltage circuit. A bright point called the NERVE sits low on the screen and the corridor scrolls towards it. Put a finger anywhere and drag: the control is relative, so the point does not jump to your thumb, it steers by how far you have moved from where you first touched. It follows with a smooth first-order lag and never overshoots. Touch a wall and the whole screen discharges, the distance resets, and you choose whether to continue. THE CORRIDOR HAS NO FLOOR Width and speed ramp with distance, but the width has no lower bound. After the opening ramp bottoms out it keeps thinning at a twentieth of the slope, and eventually the corridor is narrower than the light point itself. Tracing the centre perfectly is not a way to play forever, it just postpones the end. Nothing is hidden. The path ahead is always on screen, so there are no blind corners. The course comes from a per-run seed, so the same wall never appears twice. DISTANCE OR CHARGE, NOT BOTH Charge nodes never sit on the centre line. They are placed off it, and the more a node is worth the closer to a wall it sits. Values are random - one, five, or a rare twenty - and picking one up raises a multiplier from x1.5 to x5, while skipping one drops it a step. Collecting also heats the circuit. LOAD builds and the corridor narrows for a few seconds, so greed is paid for in width. Measured across full runs, chasing every node earns about 1.6 times the charge and reaches about a third of the distance. Collect a node dead centre for NERVE PERFECT and the multiplier jumps two steps at once. That window is proportional to corridor width - 3.5 pixels at the start, 1.5 in the razor stretch - so it is available on your first run and hardest when it matters. WHAT YOU KEEP - Six circuit skins, unlocked by level or bought with charge. - Three daily quests, including DEEP CHARGE, which only counts charge earned past 200 metres - the one goal that asks you to survive and collect at the same time. - A daily streak, and a DAILY RUN with an identical course for everyone. - Bronze to platinum medals at 40, 100, 200 and 400 metres. - One free continue per run, holding your distance, with 1.5 seconds of invulnerability. The result screen draws the run rather than listing it: your corridor is redrawn from zero to where you stopped, narrowing exactly as it did, with beacon ticks, the point where you broke in pink and your personal best as a gold dashed line. SMALL, LOCAL, AND YOURS There are no image or audio files in this app: everything is drawn by code and every sound is synthesised at runtime. Distance, name, charge, XP and quest progress live in your device's local storage. There is no account, no sign-in and no server, the game is fully playable offline, and deleting the app deletes everything it saved. ADS AND THE AD-FREE SUBSCRIPTION The free game shows a banner on the title and result screens and, at most, one fu
