Store description excerpt

Turn Apple TV into dependable digital signage without subscriptions or proprietary hardware. WildStream uses a simple CSV playlist to download and loop photos and videos, with reliable offline playback after media is cached. CONTROL ONE SCREEN OR AN ENTIRE FLEET Update a hosted CSV to change what plays. WildStream can check that file on a schedule, prepare new media in the background, and switch playlists after the current loop finishes. Manage a single display locally or deploy settings across many Apple TVs with Jamf Pro or another compatible MDM. WHY WILDSTREAM • No monthly fees or dedicated signage box • Simple CSV-based playlist management • Full-screen photo and video playback • Local media caching for offline playback • Automatic CSV update checks at your chosen interval • Optional auto-start, continuous looping, audio, and fill-to-screen display • Resilient handling of missing, invalid, or unavailable media • Managed App Configuration support for fleet deployment IDEAL FOR Retail displays, digital menu boards, hotel and office lobbies, restaurants, events, showrooms, waiting areas, and internal communications—anywhere a dependable loop of photos and videos is enough. HOW IT WORKS 1. Create a CSV with this header: Title,URL,Description,Type,DisplayDuration Description is optional. Type is Photo or Video. DisplayDuration controls the number of seconds each photo remains onscreen. Example: Title,URL,Description,Type,DisplayDuration Sunset,https://example.com/sunset.jpg,Evening sky,Photo,8 Intro,https://example.com/intro.mp4,Welcome video,Video, Mountains,https://example.com/mountains.jpg,Scenic view,Photo,10 Spot,https://example.com/spot.mp4,Promotional video,Video, 2. Host the CSV at a stable HTTPS URL. A raw GitHub Gist works well. Short links are supported when they resolve to the CSV. 3. In WildStream, open Media Stream URLs, add the HTTPS URL, and select it. WildStream downloads the media and starts the playlist. 4. Enable CSV Auto-Check to pick up changes automatically. New media is prepared before the active playlist changes, helping keep the screen running without interruptions. JAMF PRO AND MDM WildStream supports Managed App Configuration for the active CSV URL, auto-start, looping, audio, photo scaling, and CSV check interval. Configure each Apple TV separately or apply a shared setup across a fleet. GOOD TO KNOW • Use direct media links such as .jpg, .png, and .mp4 • Playlist order follows the CSV • DisplayDuration applies to photos only • The first download requires internet access • Cached media continues playing without internet • Invalid media is skipped instead of interrupting playback • See the Support URL for detailed fleet configuration guidance
