Store description excerpt

Weight Tracker turns your daily weigh-ins into something you can actually read. Log what you weigh each morning and the app shows you the direction you are heading, not just the number the scale happened to land on today. It also works out your body mass index, so your weight and your BMI live in the same place. Your weight moves from one day to the next for reasons that have nothing to do with progress: water, salt, sleep, what time you stepped on the scale. That is why a single reading tells you so little on its own. Keep logging and the chart does the work, because over weeks and months the direction becomes clear even when individual days do not. Features: - Log your weight every day in a couple of taps - Follow your progress on a weight chart grouped by day, week, month or year - Scroll sideways through your entire weight history, with no date limit - Work out your body mass index with the built-in BMI calculator - See how far you are from your target weight at any moment - Review your weight statistics: starting weight, average, lowest and highest - Set reminders to weigh yourself on the days and at the time you choose - Record in kilograms or pounds, metric or imperial - Create backup files of your data and restore them whenever you need - Edit or delete any entry you got wrong - Keep everything on your phone, with no account to create > My weight jumps around every day. How does this help? That jumping is exactly what makes a single reading hard to interpret, because your body holds and releases water constantly. Rather than judging yourself on today's number, you look at the shape of the line. You can switch the chart between days, weeks, months and years, and slide back through your whole weight history to see how one month sits against the one before it. Real weight loss shows up as a slope, and a slope only becomes visible once you have enough points on it. > What does the BMI calculator do? When you create your profile you enter your height, and from then on every weigh-in gives you an updated body mass index. The app shows the value and the range it falls into: underweight, normal weight, overweight or obese. It is a quick reference for where you stand, calculated with the standard formula. Bear in mind that BMI only takes weight and height into account, so it says nothing about muscle or body composition, and neither the number nor this app replaces a doctor. > Can I use it if I want to gain weight rather than lose it? Yes. Set your desired weight above your current one and everything works the same way, only the arrow points the other way. Whether you are after fat loss, muscle gain or simply holding steady, what matters is recording consistently and reading the trend correctly. The app does not tell you what to eat or promise you results. It records what you weigh and shows you what it means. > Will it remind me to weigh myself? If you want it to. You pick which days of the week and what time, and you get a notificatio
