Store description excerpt

Wayvz keeps your eyes on the water, not on your phone. One glance tells you what's beneath your boat on Lake Powell — no menus, no numbers to decode, no chart to interpret. The map does the reading for you so you can focus on driving. Color is the whole language, and it means exactly one thing: depth. Deep water sits quiet in blue and stays out of your way. As the bottom rises toward you, the water warms through light blue to yellow, then orange, then red at the shallowest, most dangerous edges. You're not reading a number and doing math — you're seeing danger the way you'd see a stoplight. Red means shallow. Warm means caution. Blue means room to run. Everything else on the map is muted grayscale, so the only thing that pulls your eye is the thing that matters. Your position, your heading, and the depth right under you stay in view the whole time — so a single look tells you where you are, which way you're pointed, and how much water you've got. The entire lake is built in — Glen Canyon Dam to Hite, every arm and side canyon — and it works completely offline. Load it once, and you don't need a signal out on the water. HOW IT WORKS Wayvz pairs a detailed survey of the lakebed with the live surface elevation from the USGS gauge at Glen Canyon Dam. As the lake rises and drops through the season, the map recolors to match — so what you see reflects today's water level, not a fixed snapshot. FEATURES - Full Lake Powell coverage — dam to Hite, all major arms - Works fully offline once loaded - Live daily water level from USGS - Depth shown continuously beneath your boat - Clean grayscale map — color reserved for depth and hazards - Course-up view that follows you as you move - Weak-GPS warning when your signal drops in the canyons IMPORTANT — PLEASE READ Wayvz is a supplemental awareness tool, not a replacement for safe boating or primary navigation. The depths it shows are estimates, based on a survey of the lakebed and the current lake level — and they can be wrong. Rocks, debris, sediment, and other hazards can appear or shift without warning, and not everything shows on the map. In the upper reaches and inflow arms, depths may read deeper than they actually are. Always keep a lookout, watch the water ahead, and stay in control of your boat. Do not rely on Wayvz to avoid hazards. It's a guide — not a replacement for your own eyes. Terms of Use: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/
