In Vota's secret ballots, your organization can know that you took part. Never what you voted. That sentence is easy to write and hard to keep. Vota keeps it in the data model, not in a promise: the ballot is stored apart from the roster, in a place where no column holds your name, and the permit that connects them is deleted inside the very transaction that casts the vote. After that, neither the administrators nor anyone reading the database can rebuild the link. Even the ballot's timestamp is rounded, so cross-checking the two lists by time is not enough to identify you. FOR ORGANIZERS • Polls with one or many questions • Single choice, multiple choice and free-text comments • Secret or open voting, whichever the decision calls for • Quorum by attendance or by ownership share, computed for you • Weighted voting: every member counts for what the bylaws say • Import the roster from Excel, with a preview to fix rows before saving • Email invitations with a short link • Results and statistics at closing, with the quorum in plain sight FOR VOTERS • Sign in with the Apple account already on this device • Come back with Face ID or Touch ID • Vote in under a minute, from wherever you are • Get a code confirming your ballot is in the count, without revealing your choice • Cast the vote of whoever delegated their proxy to you, at their weight • Reminders 24 hours and one hour before closing, only if you have not voted THE APP AND THE SITE DO THE SAME Whoever prefers a computer votes on a computer. Nobody is left out of the meeting by the device they happen to have. HONEST ABOUT ITS LIMITS No system can promise absolute secrecy: in a vote among very few people, the tally alone says a lot. Vota is built so the secret holds against the administrators and against anyone reading the database, and it would rather explain that than promise magic. Vota is a Birdie product.
