Voidgrid is an asymmetric tactical puzzle where two autonomous AI opponents continuously claim cells on a procedurally generated grid. You control a single neutral agent with the power to temporarily reprogram the capture rules for both AIs at once — shifting the balance of the board without ever placing a piece yourself. Every session begins with a unique grid topology built by a seeded cellular automaton, ensuring no two games play out the same way. As you play, a dynamic difficulty system reads your move history and adjusts AI aggression and grid structure in real time, so the challenge scales with your skill. The entire experience lives on one interactive canvas. There are no menus, no loading screens, no navigation stacks. A swipe starts a round, a long press switches your agent mode, a double-tap resets the active rule. Everything you need is a single gesture away. Spend entropy points — earned through play — to trigger rule mutations that alter AI logic on the fly: - Invert corner-capture priority for one or both AIs - Freeze diagonal expansion for a set number of turns - Shift the balance of competing heuristics mid-round - Stack mutations to create cascading tactical consequences Two AI agents built on GameplayKit's GKStrategist use distinct capture heuristics that adapt to your personal playstyle via on-device Core ML regression. The longer you play, the more precisely the system models your tendencies — and counters them.
