Visit Nuceria is a project promoted by the Municipality of Nocera Superiore in collaboration with the Nuceria Archaeological Group (GAN), dedicated to the discovery and promotion of the city of Nocera Superiore. It is part of the broader "Nuceria Archaeological City" initiative. The initiative aims to connect the area's historic sites, making them more accessible, understandable, and usable for residents, visitors, and tourists. It goes beyond the preservation of archaeological remains; it also builds a shared narrative that unites monuments, urban spaces, collective memory, and the local community, restoring continuity to a history spanning over two thousand years. The Augmented Reality app is designed to accompany users on an immersive experience to discover ancient Nuceria. Through a 3D virtual guide and audio narratives, the app offers historical insights, anecdotes, legends, and events that shaped the evolution of Nocera Superiore. The app is simple to use: near the main points of interest, visitors can scan QR codes and access multimedia content that enriches their knowledge of the area. The app is multilingual and equipped with dynamic subtitles, features that broaden its accessibility and make it suitable for a variety of audiences. In addition to historical and archaeological content, the project encourages visitors to experience the area in its current context, highlighting local hospitality, upcoming events, and traditions that are still part of the city's identity. Another important element is the involvement of local businesses. The portal and app offer a free online showcase for local businesses and operators, who can register their businesses using a guided form. After registration, they receive credentials to access a reserved area, where they can customize their profile with descriptions, information, and content. In this way, the project also supports the promotion of the local economic fabric, integrating cultural heritage, tourism, and local services. The project is promoted by the Municipality of Nocera Superiore, the Nuceria Archaeological Group, the Pro Loco Urbs Nuceria, and the local parishes and religious organizations, with the support of the Superintendency of Archaeological Heritage of Salerno and Avellino and the Province of Salerno.
