VillageMap DRC is a citizen-driven application that helps make villages in the Democratic Republic of Congo more visible. The application allows users to submit information about a village: name, province, territory, sector, description, landmarks, GPS coordinates, and photos. Each submission is manually verified before publication to ensure the accuracy of the displayed information. With VillageMap DRC, you can: * add a village that is missing or not clearly visible on the maps; * capture its precise GPS coordinates; * send photos and useful landmarks; * view verified villages on a map; * contribute to improving access to information for local communities. The contributor's personal information, such as name and phone number, is never publicly displayed. It is used solely for verifying submissions. VillageMap DRC's mission is to promote each village and make it easier for residents, visitors, families, researchers, organizations, and anyone who wants to learn more about the Congolese territory to locate it.
