The year is 793. Your settlement is two huts, mist over the fjord and a handful of peasants who have never even seen the sea from afar. Thirty-five generations from now a stronghold will stand here — one where Odin feels at home. MERGE WARRIORS Two identical warriors merge into a single stronger one. Peasant, farmhand, fisherman, woodcutter, warrior, berserker, jarl... all the way to Odin himself. Each one brings more gold per second — and gold builds the settlement. BUILD YOUR SETTLEMENT The Treasury, Forge, Rune Stone, Tavern and Harbour add percentages to your income, shorten voyages and keep your warriors alive. The Jarl's Hall unlocks the next unit in the shop — it decides how far your saga has come. RAIDING EXPEDITIONS When the square fills up, it is time for the longship. England, Francia, Miklagard, Jotunheim and Helheim — thirty targets, each with its own defence: from a peasant with a pitchfork to Hel herself. Before you sail you see your war band's strength, your advantage over the defenders and the exact risk. The decision is yours, but every raid may cost you one warrior — picked at random, not always the weakest. TRIBUTE FOREVER A conquered settlement pays you tribute until the end of the saga. That, and not a one-off haul, is what makes the difference in the long run. THE VILLAGE WORKS WHILE YOU SLEEP The Rune Stone gathers gold while you are away. Come back in the morning and take what your warriors have earned. LEADERBOARD OF JARLS Your whole settlement counts towards the ranking: gold, warriors and everything you have built.
