Store description excerpt
Seven tries. One word. Drawn from Scripture. Every puzzle in Verselah hides a five-letter word taken from the Berean Standard Bible. Guess it in seven tries: each guess is pressed into the board like a wax seal, and the dye tells the truth. STONE means the letter is not in the word. BLUE means it is in the word, waiting in another place. PURPLE means it stands exactly where it belongs. Solve the puzzle and the verse it came from opens, along with the original Hebrew or Greek word behind it, its transliteration, and its meaning. A word game on the surface; a walk through Scripture underneath. THE WALK - Hundreds of puzzles in a fixed order: every player walks the same road, and every seventh puzzle seeks a name - No lives and no timers: a failed board simply asks you to try the same word again - The Remez: on your last row, unseal a scroll for a glimpse of the verse around the hidden word - Jericho Walks: finish the whole pool and begin again; the walls fall, the road goes on WHAT OPENS ALONG THE WAY - The verse behind every word, quoted from the Berean Standard Bible - The original-language word for every answer: Hebrew or Greek script, transliteration, and meaning - Statistics that tell your story: clean solves, streaks, and solves by tries - Parchment share cards for your wins and your walk MADE TO BE UNHURRIED - Original music and sound, tuned for a quiet room - A dark scriptorium look: stone, ink, parchment, and gold leaf - Play as a guest with full access, or sign in to keep your statistics if you change phones - An optional daily reminder, at the hour you choose Verselah shows an occasional ad between puzzles. Sabbath Rest, a one-time purchase, removes those ads forever, and scroll packs offer Remez hints without watching an ad. Nothing in the game is locked behind payment. Scripture quotations are from the Berean Standard Bible, which is in the public domain.
