**Stay safer wherever you go. Know who you’re meeting before you meet.** VeraID is a voluntary identity verification platform designed to help protect people during in person encounters. Whether you’re meeting someone new, hiring a local service provider, or exploring a new destination, VeraID gives you greater confidence by helping you verify who you are meeting. ## HOW IT WORKS Service providers voluntarily register using a government-issued identity document and a facial photo. Once approved, each provider receives a unique TRU Code. Visitors enter the TRU Code to view the provider’s verified profile, confirm their identity, and create a timestamped check-in for their personal safety record. ## FOR VISITORS * Verify registered providers using their TRU Code * View their verified name, photo, and registration status * Create a timestamped check-in with one tap * Maintain a private history of your encounters * Report safety concerns and include supporting photo evidence * Receive in-app updates regarding submitted reports ## FOR SERVICE PROVIDERS * Register once using a government-issued identity document and a facial photo * Receive a unique TRU Code after approval * Build trust with the people you meet or serve * Earn commissions by referring new visitors * Optionally submit additional supporting documents or certifications for enhanced verification * Manage your profile and visibility at any time ## SAFETY FIRST Every provider profile is reviewed before activation. VeraID’s incident-reporting system allows visitors to report safety concerns and submit supporting evidence. Reported accounts may be reviewed, restricted, or suspended when necessary. VeraID does not endorse, arrange, or facilitate any specific service or personal encounter. It is an independent identity verification and safety tool designed to help users make more informed decisions and reduce risk when meeting others.
