As long as you have those twelve words, you can always unlock your files, even if you lose your phone, switch to a new device, or reset everything from scratch. Velo never stores this phrase on any server and never sends it anywhere. It lives only with you. This also means if you ever lose those twelve words, nobody, including us, can recover your files.
