Variance is a side project from a software engineer who plays poker — not a startup, not a team chasing growth, not something anyone is trying to make a living off of. Every feature is free. To help cover hosting and app store fees, a single short ad appears at most once every six hours, and a $5 tip from the About screen removes ads entirely. That's the whole model. No account. No login. No cloud sync. No analytics SDK. All of your data is stored only on your phone — Variance doesn't run any servers because it doesn't need any. The trade-off worth knowing: if you delete the app, your sessions go with it. There's no copy on a server for us to send back. Data export and backup capabilities are on the roadmap. FEEDBACK Bug reports, feature requests, and "this thing is annoying" notes are welcome through the in-app Feedback form — it goes straight to the developer.
