Store description excerpt

Solvora shows how strong the ultraviolet light is where you are, and keeps a record of your time in the sun. ■ The UV index and the timer stay free The UV index for your location, the hourly forecast for today and tomorrow, the sun timer, and sunscreen reapply alerts. We will not put these behind a payment later. ■ Tracking continues with the app closed Start the timer and put your phone down. Close the screen, use another app — your elapsed time and your dose keep adding up correctly. You will never come back to be told you weren't tanning. ■ When there is no reading, we say so If the ultraviolet data cannot be fetched, we do not show 0. We say it is unavailable and let you try again. The time each value was taken is always on screen. ■ Stopping is your call We tell you when you reach the dose where skin starts to redden, but we never stop the timer for you. Whether to carry on is your decision. ■ No skin analysis from photos You pick your own skin type on the Fitzpatrick scale (I–VI). There is no photo analysis. We do not guess at things that cannot be guessed reliably. ■ We show how the time is calculated The app explains how the suggested time is derived — how ultraviolet exposure is integrated over time, and how sunscreen is accounted for. ■ Sunscreen reapply alerts Record when you applied it and at what SPF, and we will tell you when to reapply. The interval shortens when you are sweating or in water. ■ Your records are yours Every record can be exported as a JSON file, free of charge. ■ About Premium The UV index, hourly forecast, timer, sunscreen alerts and record export stay free. Premium adds unlimited record history, weekly and monthly summaries, profiles for family members, and removes ads. ■ Please note These figures assume direct sunlight outdoors. Clothing, shade, ground reflection, altitude and cloud all change the real exposure. They are not for medical decisions. If your skin feels wrong, stay out of the sun regardless of the numbers.
