Write your list by hand, as you always have. Photograph the page. UrWriting reads your handwriting, tracks what actually happened, and over the weeks shows you patterns you can't see from inside a single day. Nothing leaves your phone. No account, no server, and no networking code in the app at all — it can't send your notebook anywhere, because there's nothing in it that could. KEEP THE PEN Paper works. The thinking happens while you write, and crossing something off by hand is its own small reward. UrWriting doesn't try to replace any of that — it has no drawing canvas and no pretend paper. You keep writing. It remembers. NOT FINISHING ISN'T FAILING Most trackers give you a tick or nothing. Real days aren't like that. A task here can be done, partly done, skipped on purpose, moved to another day, or no longer relevant — and those stay apart everywhere, including in the figures. There are no streaks to break. A day you never wrote a list for is shown differently from a day where nothing got done, because they're different things. WHAT IT NOTICES • Which days of the week actually go well, and which are quietly overloaded • What keeps moving from list to list without ever getting done • How much you finish when the list is short, against when it's long • How your own sense of the day lines up with what happened It won't tell you Mondays go badly until it has seen enough Mondays to mean it. When there isn't enough to be honest about yet, it says so. A WEEK TO A PAGE Write the whole week on one page and each day's tasks go to that day, not to the day you happened to photograph it. A shared "daily" section becomes habits instead of being copied out seven times. Two columns are read as two columns. EVERYTHING STAYS ON YOUR IPHONE • Handwriting is read on your device, using iOS's own text recognition • No account, no sign-in, no server, no analytics, no third-party code • Works with no signal at all — an aeroplane, the Tube, abroad • Photographs of your pages are stored so they can't be read while your phone is locked • Delete any page on its own and keep every task read from it • Export everything, or erase everything, whenever you like Optional, and off until you turn it on: send the day's tasks to Apple Reminders, or use the Shortcuts actions, which need no Reminders permission at all. Face ID or your passcode can lock the app.
