The native SSH client for Mac: fast, modern, secure. Tabbed and split terminal, key and two-factor authentication, port forwarding, jump hosts and SFTP over the very same connection as the shell — inside Apple's Sandbox, with every secret in the Keychain. Written entirely in Swift on top of SwiftNIO, Upshell opens stable, light sessions and fits the look of recent macOS releases. SECURITY IS NOT FOR SALE • Host key verification (TOFU): every machine's key is pinned on first use, and a change stops the connection instead of looking away. • ed25519 and ECDSA key authentication, encrypted keys included, with a built-in key manager. • Two-factor authentication (keyboard-interactive) for servers that ask for an OTP. • Private keys never leave the process: the built-in agent signs inside Upshell. • No telemetry, no account, no data reaching us. Ever. Connecting, authentication and host key verification are free and will stay free: security is not a paid extra. THE TERMINAL • Tabs and side-by-side panes, with color palettes and the font you like. • Scrollback search, per-host colors (so you never type in production by mistake). • ⌘K command palette: any host, any action, two keystrokes. • Automatic reconnection when the network drops — and never after a rejected password or a changed host key. BEYOND THE SHELL • Local, remote and dynamic (SOCKS5) port forwarding, with a status panel. • Multi-hop jump hosts, imported from your ssh config if you have one. • SFTP in the same session: browse, upload, download, change permissions, no second login. • Agent forwarding, per host and never by default. • Saved snippets, runnable on twenty machines at once, with one result each. • ~/.ssh/config import: hosts, jumps and tunnels come in as they are. • Hosts on iCloud, with passwords on the iCloud Keychain.
