Join over 4,000 University of Nottingham students playing weekly in our Intramural Sport (IMS) leagues — one of the largest campus league programmes in the UK. Whether you're a seasoned competitor or trying a sport for the first time, IMS is for everyone. Compete for your university hall, your course, a society, or just a group of friends — all abilities are welcome. In 2026/27 we're offering 11 sports, all played on or near campus: Badminton (Mixed) Basketball (Mixed) Football — Men's 7-a-side Football — Men's 11-a-side Football — Women's 7-a-side Hockey (Mixed) Netball Rugby Union (Men's) Squash (Mixed) Table Tennis (Mixed) Volleyball (Mixed) Our IMS programme is more than just a league. Winning teams earn the chance to compete for Nottingham against Loughborough in the hotly contested IMS Varsity — or even travel to China or Malaysia for the annual Tri-Campus Games.
