UD Browser is an e-book reading application developed based on universal design principles, with a strong focus on enhancing reading accessibility. This application allows users to switch between fixed layouts (PDF) and reflow layouts (HTML), while supporting a wide range of e-book formats, including EPUB and DAISY. Designed for comfortable use by anyone, it features an OCR function, zoom display, keyboard navigation, dictionary search, and text-to-speech capabilities. The intuitive, easy-to-navigate menus and text selection functions ensure that individuals with low vision can confidently use the app. Additionally, the OCR and file conversion functions enable quick digitization of paper documents. Ideal for use in educational settings, workplaces, and at home, this app is a powerful tool for supporting learning and information sharing. This application was developed under contract with the Yasushi Nakano Laboratory at Keio University and was completed with research funding from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) and the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) (Grant Numbers: 16H02072, 19H00623, 22H00081).
