TypoQuest turns typing practice into something learners actually want to do. Built for ages 4 to 12, it meets learners at their level and grows with them — from hunting for the right letter to hitting 60 WPM, on a touchscreen or a real keyboard. However, they learn best. HOW IT WORKS Pick an age group (4-6, 7-9, or 10+), choose a world and word category, and start typing. Every session pulls fresh, age-appropriate words, so no two games are the same. Race the clock, build combos, earn XP, and climb from Novice Typist all the way to TypoQuest Legend. WHAT PLAYERS LOVE Four immersive worlds to explore: Jungle, Space, Ocean, and Sunset. Each one has layered backgrounds, particle effects, and a Focus Shield that keeps words easy to read no matter what's happening on screen. A Guardian Word system rewards accuracy. Every 7th word is worth 10x points. Miss a letter, and the combo resets — which teaches fast that speed without accuracy doesn't count. After every game, an AI coach gives personalised feedback based on actual results: speed, accuracy, and consistency. No generic tips. Just relevant ones. WHAT PARENTS LOVE Parental controls let you set daily time limits (15 to 120 minutes), restrict play to certain hours, and lock settings behind a 4-digit PIN with Face ID or Touch ID recovery. Zero ads. Zero social features. No chat. Just a clean, focused app. Sensory-friendly options include haptic feedback controls and a Static Mode that removes all motion and animation for a calmer experience. These are set during onboarding so every player is comfortable from the first word. BUILT FOR REAL KEYBOARDS TOO TypoQuest works beautifully with any Bluetooth or USB keyboard, making it a proper desktop typing tutor and not just another touchscreen game. Sit a learner down at a Mac with a full-size keyboard, and TypoQuest becomes the closest thing to a real typing class — without the boring drills. Three keyboard layouts are supported out of the box: QWERTY, Dvorak, and Colemak. EVERYTHING ELSE 13 word categories: Animals, Food, Places, Technology, Fantasy, Science, Nature, Sports, History, Music, Subjects, and Mixed. Montessori Phonics Mode displays AI-generated phonetic breakdowns alongside typed words, making TypoQuest a natural fit alongside early reading programs. Dictionary lookup lets players tap any word from their history for a definition, pronunciation, example sentence, and fun fact. Results are cached, so it works offline too. Pass-the-Device Duel lets siblings or friends take turns in a local multiplayer race with a live scoreboard. iCloud sync keeps progress up to date across iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Start on iPad, continue on Mac — progress follows every player across every device. Adjustable session timers (30 to 120 seconds), a case sensitivity toggle, and a Home Screen widget showing rank and XP progress.
