Twinfinder is a careful Mac duplicate finder built for people who want to clean storage without guessing. Choose the folders you want to inspect, scan locally, review duplicate candidates, then move only the selected copies to Trash. Twinfinder looks for byte-identical files, visually similar images, matching audio metadata, duplicate folders, and near-identical names such as copy, final, old, or versioned files. Results stay organized by group so you can see what Twinfinder recommends keeping and what is safe to remove. Version 2.2 adds a Cleanup Review Plan. Before anything moves to Trash, Twinfinder now shows a clear plan with the kept file, the files selected for removal, blocked items, estimated recoverable space, match type, risk level, and the reason each group needs review. The plan can be copied as Markdown for an audit trail. Core tools: - Local folder scans for duplicate and similar files - SHA-256 matching for byte-identical duplicates - Visual similarity detection for image cleanup - Audio metadata matching for repeated tracks - Duplicate folder and space analytics panels - Smart selection rules with explainable recommendations - Cleanup Review Plan with blocked-item protection - CSV export and shareable scan summaries - Cleanup history with undo from Trash - Saved scan configurations and excluded folders Twinfinder does not require an account and does not upload your files. File access is limited to folders you select through macOS.
