TRACE is the logbook for doctors who don’t have time to keep a logbook. Talk through a case, procedure or clinical activity in your own words. TRACE turns the conversation into a structured logbook entry, asks about anything important you’ve missed, and saves you the paperwork. No need to remember which field comes next. Just describe what happened. TALK, DON’T TYPE Tell TRACE what happened — what you saw, what you did, and what you learned. TRACE extracts the relevant details and fills in the appropriate fields. If something important is missing, it asks. When you’re done, your entry is done too. BUILT FOR APPRAISAL TRACE is built around the evidence doctors need to maintain their professional portfolios. Log your clinical activity as you go, then use Insights to see your case mix, procedures, outcomes and supervision across the date range you choose. Your numbers are already counted when appraisal time comes around. WHAT YOU CAN LOG Ward reviews, admissions, intra- and extra-hospital transfers, cardiac arrests, trauma calls, procedures, intubations, CPD activity and discussions. Each template asks only for the information relevant to that type of activity. INSIGHTS & EXPORTS See your activity at a glance, including case mix, procedures, outcomes and supervision. Export your logbook as a formatted PDF or an Excel workbook with a separate sheet for each template. Choose the date range and leave out fields you would rather not share. YOUR LOGBOOK STAYS YOURS Your logbook is stored on your device and synced through your own iCloud account. It never reaches TRACE’s servers. There are no accounts or passwords. TRACE does not receive or store your logbook. There is no advertising, analytics or crash reporting. DESIGNED FOR ANONYMOUS RECORDS TRACE is designed so that patient-identifying information is never required. Templates use an ages rather than a date of birth, and there is no patient-name field anywhere in the app. When you type, TRACE automatically checks for identifiers such as names, NHS numbers, dates of birth, postcodes and hospital numbers before anything is sent. Before you export, TRACE checks the file for information that looks identifiable and lets you remove it first. Face ID keeps your records secure. ON ALL YOUR DEVICES Use TRACE on iPhone, iPad and Mac, with your logbook kept in step through your own iCloud. Start an entry after a ward round and finish it at your desk. ABOUT THE VOICE ASSISTANT TRACE’s conversational voice assistant turns what you say into structured logbook fields. You can choose to type instead, with typed entries filtered for identifiers before they are sent, or turn the assistant off completely and use TRACE as a manual logbook. TRACE uses a paid Google Cloud account under a signed data processing agreement. Your input is not used to train Google’s models and is not reviewed by people.
