Totals is a complete personal finance app for Ethiopian bank users. It brings every account into one place and gives you real tools to manage your money day to day. See where you stand at a glance with one total across CBE, Telebirr, Awash, Bank of Abyssinia, Dashen, Zemen, Nib, M-Pesa, and Amhara Bank. Then dig into spending breakdowns, budgets, and searchable transaction history. WHAT YOU CAN DO • Track spending by category with auto-categorization that learns recurring payments • Set budgets with alerts, rollover, and monthly or custom periods • Keep track of money you've lent or borrowed and settle debts over time • Link reimbursements to the expenses they repay so refunds don't skew your numbers • Split shared expenses with friends and see who owes what • Keep personal and business finances separate with multiple profiles • Save friends' and vendors' bank accounts so transfers show names instead of account numbers • View balances and recent activity from home screen widgets STAYS CURRENT ON ITS OWN Your bank already texts you whenever money moves. Totals reads those SMS messages and records each transaction automatically, keeping your balances and history up to date without manual entry. On iPhone, a one-time Apple Shortcut forwards each bank message to the app. If you prefer, you can paste messages manually. All parsing happens on your device. PRIVATE BY DEFAULT Everything runs entirely on your phone. No account to create. No servers reading your bank messages. Nothing is uploaded. The App Store privacy label says "Data Not Collected," and that's exactly how it works. It even works in airplane mode. YOURS TO MOVE AND KEEP • Export your data anytime as CSV or a mini bank statement • Back up to your own private Telegram chat, encrypted with a key only you control • Sync to a server you own with Data Sync. Your phone communicates directly with your server, never through us. Totals is free and open source. The entire codebase is public, so you can verify exactly what it does with your data: it stays on your phone.
