Topoform turns one piece of artwork into a printable, multi-material relief — on your Mac, deterministically, and only when it passes every gate. Three modes, because a landscape, a carving, and a backlit photograph are not the same object. TOPOGRAPHIC FLOW reads your artwork as terrain. A smooth elevation carrier spans the full height, wavelength-budgeted octave bands add detail at every scale the printer can hold, and a stream-power erosion pass carves the drainage network into it. Four styles, from source-faithful to radial bloom. CARVED PANEL reads it as a bas-relief. An Allen-Cahn phase field separates figure from ground, walls are cut at the slope cap, the artwork's own line work survives as tool marks on both faces, and an optional reaction-diffusion crust builds foam on the raised figure. Add a rim and you have a gift-box lid or a framed plaque. Five styles. Pressed Brocade presses the pattern onto one uniform plateau above a dead-flat ground, the embossed-lid look, with plate flatness verified by its own gates; Carved Line through Deep Intaglio keep the organic cuts. LITHOPHANE reads it as light. One translucent plate encodes tone as thickness — thin glows bright, thick reads dark — inverted, gamma-shaped, and held inside a printable thickness window. The sculpt controls return as a tone-fidelity-bounded family: gamma, contrast, and low-relief detail that must preserve the image's tonal order, measured on the exported mesh itself. A calibration coupon wedge accompanies every run so you can verify the tonal steps on your own printer and filament. Four presets, from pure lithophane to sculpted. THE PRINTER IS THE SOURCE OF TRUTH Configure your printer and the filaments in your slots once. Bed size bounds the footprint, nozzle sets the analysis pitch, layer height sets the floor below which detail cannot print, and your loaded colors become the material plan. Nothing in the app hard-codes a millimetre. FITS THE TIME YOU HAVE Multi-material reliefs are dominated by tool-change purging. Set a print-time budget and Topoform measures the estimate from the exact geometry — per-layer material sets, tool-change count, extruded volume — then offers a height that fits. THREE COUPLED CONTROLS Orogeny, Alluvium and Atmosphere each move three variables together along smooth curves, so one slider is one artistic decision rather than three numbers to reconcile. Every hard gate is re-measured on the sculpted surface. IT REFUSES BAD GEOMETRY Watertight, manifold, correctly wound, within the envelope, inside the slope cap, colour cap deep enough to stay opaque, triangle quality above threshold, and imported by the slicers installed on your Mac. Any gate that fails, fails the export and says which one. You get a validation report with every run.
