Anyone building a house must consult the Lu Ban ruler: how wide the door should be, how high it should be, what size the altar should be, how many steps the staircase should have. This application does three things that other tools miss. First, entering a dimension displays the result on ALL THREE rulers simultaneously (52.2 measures clear opening; 42.9 measures exterior and solid parts; 38.8 measures burial and religious objects) — because the same number can give three different conclusions from three rulers, and the app states this directly instead of randomly selecting one ruler and making a judgment. Second, the app asks whether you are measuring the CLEAR OPENING or EXTERIOR and clearly states which ruler is correct for what you are measuring — this is where people who use the ruler themselves often make mistakes. Third, and most importantly: you don't have to try each number individually. Tell the app the area you're interested in (or pre-select "single door", "double door", "door height", "altar") and the app will return all the ideal size ranges within that range, along with the range width and the recommended number — so that even a few millimeters deviation during construction will still be within the auspicious range. Each result also indicates how many centimeters are needed to avoid falling into the inauspicious range. The staircase calculation uses the Birth – Old Age – Sickness – Death system, but it doesn't stop there: each option includes step height and step width, and the app only recommends a method that is both auspicious and usable — an ideal number of steps is meaningless if you stumble. Two methods of counting steps (calculating the landing and the floor level) are available for you to choose from because the sources are inconsistent. It runs completely offline, without requesting any permissions other than the internet to display ads. Share the results as images to send to contractors. There is a one-time "Ad Removal" package.
