Store description excerpt

Run for president as Rex Denton: billionaire, showman, the joke nobody laughed at fast enough. The party has a plan, and you are not in it. Every choice you make moves five numbers that decide what you become, and the game keeps a moral ledger you don't get to read until the end. The Swamp is a narrative political strategy game played as a political satire in three acts. There is no map painting and no dice. There is a room, a decision, and the people watching you make it. PICK YOUR LENS You are always Rex. But you see the story through one of the five people closest to him, and each companion is a different game: • Nadia, the wife with the locked box, who reads the Circle before it breaks. • Reed, the son who believes, keeping a whip count of which institutions still hold. • Tommy, the fixer who sees the price tag on every choice before you pay it. • Diego, who built the online army and reads tomorrow's headline early. • Pat, the reporter who knows exactly when every fuse blows. Every companion has a full thread through each act, an opening, a turn, and a resolution of their own, and what you do in their shoes bends Rex's road: some scenes and some choices exist only because of what you did as them. At the end, you choose your last words to them, and they answer. Five lenses, five instrument panels, five different games. THREE ACTS, ONE RECKONING The Announcement: escalator to convention, the campaign nobody wanted. The First 100 Days: the win, the desk, the first foreign test, and the investigation growing out of one loose thread. The Reckoning: the year the bills arrive, ending in a courtroom, a chamber, or a crowd on the Assembly steps waiting to be told what to do. THE WAR ROOM Between acts you set the message, deploy your people, and spend the war chest, while the Threat Board burns down its fuses. Defuse what you can. The Tally reports what the act cost, what held, what went off, and what the country's feed made of it all. SIXTEEN FATES Earn the nomination or buy it. Hold the office or bleed it out. Stand the crowd down or light it up. Every ending is written, illustrated, and kept in your Fate Gallery, along with the receipts: the moral ledger of what you did to get there. RUN IT AGAIN, DIFFERENTLY Finish an act and you unlock mandates, named starting conditions that make it a different presidency from the first move. The Dynasty starts rich and resented. The Insurgent starts with a roaring base and no hold on the machine. Nothing Left to Lose starts with nothing to protect. Scenes remember what you did, so the same beat reads differently depending on the run you are having. Act One is free. The First 100 Days and The Reckoning are one-time purchases, no subscriptions, no ads, no energy bars. Fictional characters. Familiar weather.
