How much do you need to earn to comfortably, or uncomfortably, afford it? That's the whole app. Type in a price — a car, a couch, a ring, a jet ski you have no business owning — set your financing, and drag the comfort slider from Comfortable to Stretching to Unhinged. The Comfort Slider works out the monthly payment and the annual salary that purchase implies at the comfort level you picked, and it all recalculates live as you drag. Then it roasts you for it. WHAT IT DOES • Price anything. If it has a number on it, it goes in the box. • Set your financing: down payment, APR, term length, and optional sales tax. • Drag the slider and watch the required salary move with it, in real time. • See the real cost — monthly payment, total interest over the term, down payment, and tax — each with a plain-English explanation of what it means. OR FLIP IT AROUND Set your salary in Settings and the app runs in reverse: the slider snaps to where that purchase actually lands for you, and slides on its own as the price changes. Comfortable, or clown emoji. You can still grab it and explore. BUILT TO FEEL GOOD • Money sprays out of the screen when you cross a zone or tap the number. • Numbers roll instead of snapping. Haptics on every step. • Formats currency for your region, with seven currencies to choose from. Nothing you type leaves your device — the app runs entirely offline. The Comfort Slider is for entertainment.
