You wake on a floor you don't recognise. The door is locked. Somewhere below you, something heavy is walking. He knows this house. He hears you. THE BUTCHER is a first-person survival horror game about being hunted. You have no weapon and no way to fight back — only a torch, a house full of places to hide, and the time between his footsteps. FIND A WAY OUT Search the rooms for keys and tools. Every drawer you open makes a sound. Every second you spend looking is a second he spends getting closer. HIDE, AND HOPE HE PASSES Slide under a bed. Climb into a chest. Hold still and watch him search the room through the gap. He checks the places you would think of. RUN WHEN YOU HAVE TO Sprinting drains fast and takes a while to come back. Choosing the moment to break cover is the whole game. THREE DIFFICULTIES THAT REALLY CHANGE IT Easy — five lives. He keeps pace with you at a walk and loses you the moment you run. Normal — three lives. He gains on you unless you spend stamina. Nightmare — one life. He sees further, hears more, reacts instantly and is nearly as fast as your sprint. Hiding is the only real answer. BUILT FOR TOUCH Swipe anywhere to look. The movement stick appears wherever your thumb lands. Left-handed layout, adjustable sensitivity and control size, and an optional on-screen turn stick if you prefer one. No jump-scare corridor. A house, a hunter, and the decision of when to move.
