The Bible Dogs

Store description excerpt

This is no ordinary Bible app. A Bible Dog of your own is placed at your side: a poodle or a wolfdog, in the coat you like, with a name of your choosing. It grows from a puppy into a grown companion, and its growth mirrors your own. From now on you do not walk your road to God alone. YOUR OWN DOG At the start you choose your Bible Dog and give it its name. From then on it grows because you show up, not because you perform. Tasks, the daily Bible question and the daily walk earn you stars. In the shop you spend them; everything acquired is kept in its basket. • Your breed, your coat, your name • Stages of growth, earned by constancy • Toys, snacks and everyday things for your dog YOUR DAY ON THE HOME SCREEN Home is your dog's territory. The paws beneath count the days you have cared for yourself and for it. Below gathers what a day needs: the verse of the day, a short prayer, the question from the Bible quiz, a word of encouragement, your tasks to tick off, your steps and the gratitude wall. FAITH AND SOUL BELONG TOGETHER Tools for the soul, ordered by urgency. For the hard moment: SOS, breathing the name of God together with your dog, the exercise with five, four, three, two, one, the handing over of your worries as well as the shaking off of anger. For the ordinary day: the mood check, the gratitude wall, small tasks, the walk, the letter to a friend as well as a slow breath at bedtime that ends in a blessing for the night. No feeling has to be suppressed here. THE WAY Guided paths through one theme, station by station, at your pace. The first paths are "When anxiety comes" and "When you feel alone"; Daisy and Fenny take turns leading you through. Every station carries a verse, a question, a task as well as a prayer. Alongside it a devotion with a Bible story and what research knows about it. The Way runs in order, yet without pressure: nothing expires, a pause costs nothing. THE BIBLE • The whole Bible: all 66 books, complete, to read • An overview of every single book • 351 prophecies, promised in the Old Testament, fulfilled in Jesus • The Word Behind It: what a verse says in Hebrew, Aramaic or Greek • Verses by theme, stories, people of the Bible, creation, the teaching of Jesus, theological facts • A Bible quiz with over 1,000 questions, each with its explanation. No score: the questions you miss come back until every one is right. PRAYERS FOR EVERY OCCASION Prayers by occasion, for the moments when the words are missing. Your Bible Dog reads them aloud while you read along; which voice accompanies you is yours to decide. MY JOURNEY Your calendar is your archive. A tap on a date shows what was said that day and what you added yourself. THE WIDGET Verse, prayer or encouragement: you decide what greets you in the morning, on your home screen and on your lock screen. AN APP THAT ADAPTS TO YOU You set the background stars and reminders yourself, and your journey can be backed up, even for a new phone. In English, German and Spanish; mo
