Discover the Bat-World! The iPad-Game The Batz takes you on an exciting scavenger hunt through the bat exhibition at Zurich Zoo. The Batz will challenge you. Do you have a good nose for finding the answers to all the questions? Four Rooms of the Bat-World contain hidden QR-Codes which must be scanned to get access to all parts of the game. Each room unlocks questions on the topics: “bats worldwide”, “research”, “nursery and circle of the year”, and “habitats”. You can choose between six animated bats as your game character, which all have their own preference concerning prey insects and hideouts. There are four exciting tasks about Swiss bats in each level. They can be solved by using the information in the corresponding exihibition room. If you answer correctly, you will have enough insects to feed your bat and it will not starve. The Batz is designed for children and teenagers but unveils the secret world of bats to adults as well. The Batz can be played alone or in groups of up to four people. The game lasts from 20 to 30 minutes. This interactive learning tool is customized to our teaching aid (http://www.fledermausschutz.ch/Schule/Schule.html). It is the perfect starting point for school workshops and can also be used as a learning control.
