Teaism turns an everyday tea time or coffee break into a quiet ritual on iPad. Originally created as Jotaro Sugiyama's submission project for the Swift Student Challenge 2026, Teaism explores how SwiftUI can turn one mindful cup into a small digital tearoom for reflection and human connection. Inspired by Sado, the Japanese Way of Tea, this app helps you create a modern tea room wherever you are. Prepare your favorite drink, choose a solo or pair session, and follow gentle prompts that bring attention to hospitality, tranquility, celebration, turning points, and self-cultivation. In Solo Session, Teaism gives you a calm pause for facing yourself. Select keywords that match your current state and receive a Zen phrase with a short reflection to guide the moment. In Pair Session, one person becomes the host and one becomes the guest. The app guides you through mindful preparation, shared attention, and simple dialogue so a single cup can become a deeper connection. Teaism also includes a Zen Scrolls library with phrases such as Ichigo Ichie, Kissako, Wakei Seijaku, and Nichinichi Kore Kojitsu, each explained in approachable language. You do not need formal tea ceremony tools or experience. Tea, coffee, matcha, or any favorite drink is enough. Teaism is designed for iPad so the session can sit naturally between people, like a small digital tearoom.
