TaperCast Leader Atlas is a hands-on leader and tippet formula studio for trout, steelhead, bass-on-fly, and light-salt casters who need multi-section tapers that actually turn over—without guessing butt diameter or tippet X on the bank. Open a seeded classic or a blank taper, size every section against your rod line-weight, lock mono, fluoro, or furled materials, then run a turnover cascade coach that flags collapse and hinging. Match tippet to hook size and fly style, and pin a large-type field card for your vest. This is a precision leader-geometry utility—not a catch log, knot trainer, or lure desk. FORMULA GALLERY, READY ON FIRST LAUNCH Start with fully seeded packs: Harvey dry, Ritz, 60/20/20, nymph compound, streamer short, light-salt shock butt, and euro-nymph long-tippet scaffolds. Each card shows section count, total length, and intended rod class so you can fish a proven taper in minutes or fork it into your own recipe. INTERACTIVE TAPER BUILDER Add or remove up to nine sections. Set length in feet/inches or centimeters, diameter as X-rating or mm, and material per section—nylon mono, fluorocarbon, furled butt, or tippet-ring junction. A live silhouette redraws the butt-to-tip profile with clear markers so you always see the geometry you are building. ROD-CLASS PAIRING DESK Pick 2–12 wt single-hand or switch/spey context. Get suggested butt-diameter bands, total leader length windows, and stiffness notes so the butt matches line mass instead of hinging under the cast. TURNOVER CASCADE COACH Watch energy hand off down the taper with clear diameter steps. The coach flags weak mid-sections, overlong tippets, and butt-too-soft collapse. Sliders for wind level and fly wind-resistance (sparkly dry vs weighted nymph) help you stress-check the design before you tie it. TIPPET-TO-FLY MATRIX Choose hook size (18–1/0) and fly family—delicate dry, terrestrial, nymph, streamer, or crab/shrimp.
