Open the app and have a real conversation, out loud, with Iris — blending the language you already speak with the one you're learning. One dial sets your mix: it's simply the share of your speaking you're aiming to do in the new language. Set it to 20% and you're speaking mostly your own language, reaching for the new one with a word or two mixed in. As you grow, you turn it up. You're always understood, and always stretching. How much of the new language you reach to speak, how much the other side speaks it to you, and how much help is at hand when you're stuck — out in the world all three are fixed and hit you at once. In TalkGlish, each one is yours. WE KEEP THE SCORE HONEST The one thing you don't set is how much of what you said actually came out in the new language — and that's the only thing we measure. Aim for 70% and land 40%? We show you the 40%, plainly, no penalty. Aiming high is allowed; falling short is how you climb.
