Take a Break helps you step away from distracting apps, build a bedtime routine, and start your morning with a wake mission. Meet Moo, your companion for calmer screen time. BLOCK DISTRACTIONS ON YOUR SCHEDULE Choose the apps you want to rest and set a daily break or bedtime window. Take a Break uses Apple Screen Time to shield your selections. Give individual apps a daily allowance with per-app limits. BUILD A BEDTIME ROUTINE Set your bedtime and wind-down routine so the evening scroll has a stopping point. See your bedtime, wake mission, and daily break together on Today. WAKE WITH A MISSION Set a wake notification and complete a short task in the app, such as maths, typing, or a QR scan. A five-minute snooze is available. Camera-based missions have an alternative when camera access is unavailable. Important: wake alerts use local notifications. Silent mode, Focus, notification permissions, volume, and other device settings can silence or prevent alerts. Take a Break does not override those settings and should not be your only alarm for an essential wake-up. EARN TIME BACK Honour your scheduled break to earn Time Bank minutes. When available, early unlock spends banked minutes; walking offers another way to earn them. Track your routine with a streak and activity heatmap. YOU STAY IN CONTROL Strict Mode adds friction by restricting early unlock and changes during a break. Blocking is not impossible to bypass: iOS permissions remain under your control, and the app provides a Turn off blocking safety action, including on the paywall. NO ACCOUNT. NO ADS. Your app selections and mission proof stay on your device. The app sends limited crash and error diagnostics to help identify problems. Optional usage statistics are off by default; if enabled, feature and purchase events use a random installation identifier. See the privacy policy for details. PREMIUM ACCESS Choose a monthly subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase. A one-month free introductory trial is available to eligible monthly subscribers when confirmed by Apple.
