TailEdge is a stock trading strategy research and simulation tool. You design the rules, and the system handles the calculations—first backtesting with historical data, then recording the simulated performance of the rules daily. ⚠️ Please know three things: • This app will not place orders for you, nor will it handle your money. All trades are executed by you through your own brokerage. • All performance figures are hypothetical results from computer simulations, not real trading records. • The operator does not have an investment advisor or brokerage license; nothing on this site constitutes investment advice. ■ Modular Rule Builder: No programming required. Entry conditions, exit conditions, stop-loss, position size, and holding days are all adjustable; every parameter is visible and modifiable. Built-in strategy templates can be directly applied or modified into your own version. There is also an "environment switch": automatically stopping trading when market conditions are not met. ■ Backtesting, and Honest Presentation • In-sample/Out-of-sample segmentation – See if the rules are only effective for the historical period where you adjusted the parameters. • Monte Carlo sequence resampling – Shuffle the trading order thousands of times to see what the worst-case scenario looks like. • Complete transaction details and equity curve, every transaction can be viewed. • The interface actively highlights the inherent limitations of hypothetical performance: hindsight bias, no execution risk, overfitting, survivorship bias, cost assumptions, and absence of psychological factors. ■ Daily Forward Simulation After the strategy is activated, it progresses daily, recording virtual positions and virtual trades. The position table displays the current price, market value, unrealized profit/loss, and exit countdown. Forward records and backtesting are presented separately because their credibility differs – we will not confuse them. ■ Charts Custom candlestick chart engine with built-in technical indicators: MA (three lines, each with customizable periods), EMA, Bollinger Bands, SAR, Ichimoku Cloud, KD, RSI, W%R, CCI, MFI, BIAS, OBV, ADX, MACD. Also includes pattern recognition, multi-chart layout, drawing tools, and ratio charts. Over 1,000 US stocks are available, searchable by stock code or company name. ■ Custom Indicators Write your own indicators using a simple formulaic language and save them to the indicator library for repeated use. Supports multiple outputs, indicator nesting, and direct use as alert conditions. Indicators can be shared with other users via links (the recipient must log in to access them and will not see the author's identity). ■ Filtering and Alerts Conditional filters scan the entire stock pool; multi-condition alerts are consolidated with email notifications; watchlists track targets of interest. ■ Who is it for?
