Serbian Sign Language (SSL) experts from our application are children up to 12 years old who teach you the most common and common signs from SSL. This free app has matching features including quiz games, two-handed alphabet and over 295 characters that you can watch, learn and enrich your knowledge on SZJ. Context Article 4 of the Law on the Use of Sign Language gives deaf children the right to learn and use sign language, and early childhood development evidence recommends teaching sign language to children who are deaf. However, deaf children, their parents/guardians and professionals who work with them do not have easy access learning tools for learning Serbian sign language. Many parents/guardians and professionals also focus more on speech therapy therapy than to support learning sign language. Why this app? A child's brain is almost completely formed by the age of five, which is why it is important to stimulate the development of language and communication in the earliest years of life. Early interventions in language development are crucial for further language development of the child and significantly contribute to the quality of life of the whole family, and the Serbian sign language is the most natural way of language development for a deaf child. Adoption of Serbian sign language represents the basis for acquiring other knowledge and skills, and guides towards social equality in all aspects of life. How it works? The application can be used safely by children and adults, it is designed to be used without the help of adults. It does not contain external links and advertisements, no complicated texts, both children and adults will have no challenges when using them. We are dedicated to creating and spreading high-quality unlocking apps your child's learning potential in a fun way. A vision Our long-term goal is to provide access to inclusive and quality education in Serbian sign language in order to promote social inclusion of deaf children. There was a need to create this mobile application to support learning Serbian sign language for children, beginners, parents/guardians and professionals such as teachers. Widespread use of this tool can promote a change in social norms (attitudes and behavior). In the future, sign language should be formally taught in primary school schools. There is also a need for the development of the Serbian sign language by establishing it linguistic center at the University and the creation of a study program. Finally, it is necessary to make an effort to raise awareness of the importance of learning sign language in achieving long-term goals. Mission The goal of our application is to encourage more people to learn Serbian sign language because it breaks down communication barriers, promotes social inclusion and that communicating in Serbian sign language is the right of every deaf person of a child.
