Store description excerpt

Supply Lines is a hand-drawn strategy game about holding ground you cannot hold everywhere. Every node on the chart makes ink. Drag between two nodes to open a supply line, and ink flows down it - a surge at first, then a steady pour for as long as the line stays open. Enough of it takes the node at the far end. A supply line is not just an attack you send. It is a commitment you make. You only ever have a limited number lines open at once. That single limit is the whole game. You are never short of ink. You are short of attention. Every line you commit somewhere is a line you cannot commit anywhere else, and the moment you decide the north is safe is usually the moment it stops being. One swipe cuts every line it crosses, yours or theirs. Knowing when to cut your own is most of the skill. WHAT IS IN IT • A campaign of nine engagements, drawn fresh each run, with a doctrine to pick after every victory • Skirmish mode: choose the opponent, the difficulty, the size of the chart, and how many sides fight over it • Eleven hand-built charts: The Isthmus, The Ring, The Spine, The Ford, The Crossroads, and six more for three to six sides, some deliberately lopsided • Opponents with distinct habits, not just bigger numbers • Waystations, inkwells and redoubts that change what a node is worth • A short tutorial that teaches by making you play, not by making you read HOW IT IS DRAWN Ink on paper. Nothing glows, nothing explodes, nothing shouts at you. The whole game is line weight and colour, and it was built to be quiet enough to think in. WHAT IS NOT IN IT No accounts. No login. No ads. No in-app purchases. No analytics. No tracking. No network connection of any kind, it works on a plane, and it will keep working whether or not anyone keeps a server running. It is free, and it is the whole game.
