Store description excerpt

A power cut. A look under the car. A walk after dark. The keys you just dropped. Your phone is already in your pocket — Super Flashlight keeps it one tap away. A proper flashlight; and a signalling tool when you need one. **No camera permission required.** The light works through Android's torch API, so the app never asks for access to your camera. Check the permission list before you install: it isn't there. **Five modes** **Light** — one tap turns the LED on. On phones that support it, a brightness slider gives you graded light instead of just on and off. **Timer** — set a duration and the light turns itself off. For when you want light now and a charged battery later. **Morse** — type a message and the app sends it as light, using the international timing standard. It reads Latin, Cyrillic and Arabic script, shows the dots and dashes as you type, and tells you how long the signal will take. **Strobe** — SOS, slow, medium and police patterns, with an adjustable frequency dial. **Screen** — turns the whole display into a light. Preset colors plus a custom hue and saturation picker, for soft light instead of a hard beam. **Details that matter** • A home screen widget: one tap, light on, no need to open the app. • Battery level and temperature on the main screen, so you can see what leaving the light on costs you. • Keep the light running in the background with an ongoing notification. • Haptic feedback on every control — and a switch to turn it off. • Works on phones with no camera flash at all: screen light still does the job, and the app tells you why the flash controls are hidden. • 13 languages, and you can set the app's language separately from your phone's. **A note on flashing light** Strobe and Morse flash the light rapidly. In a small number of people this can trigger seizures — photosensitive epilepsy. The app warns you before you use Strobe for the first time. **Pro** The free version shows a single banner at the bottom of the screen. Pro removes every ad in the app: a one-time purchase, no subscription, and you can restore it on your other devices. Open it and light it — no account, no setup.
