Geneplus Consultoria Agropecuária, through the Embrapa Geneplus Program, has been providing breeders with more detailed information about their herds since 1996, adding improvements over time, not only in methodological terms, but also in technology dissemination strategies. Until 1999, bull summaries were published in print and electronically on CD-ROM. From 2010 onwards, the genetic evaluation summaries of bulls, cows, and offspring from each herd participating in the Geneplus Program have been made available to their respective owners through electronic files, readily accessible via the internet. Currently, given the expansion of high-speed internet service, they are readily available in mobile applications. This was the reason why efforts were made to develop the application that is now available to users, created, as a pioneering effort, for the Bull Summary of all breeds served by Geneplus. The expectation of the Embrapa Geneplus Program is that the creation of this application, a new challenge for the generation of new technologies applied to the production chain, will provide its users with greater speed and confidence in making selection decisions aimed at improving beef cattle production systems.
