Store description excerpt
Sukkari is an Arabic-language app built specifically to help Type 1 Diabetes patients with carbohydrate counting and insulin dose calculation, made for people living with Type 1 Diabetes in the Arab world. Managing T1D means making calculations several times a day, often from food labels and dishes that international apps were never designed to handle. Sukkari brings those calculations into one place, in Arabic and English, with a food catalogue and tools that reflect how people here actually eat. BOLUS ADVISOR Work out a meal-time dose from the carbohydrates on your plate, your insulin-to-carb ratio, and your blood sugar target. Set a separate target for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and each one appears where you need it, labelled with the meal it belongs to. CARBOHYDRATE COUNTING Build a meal from the food catalogue, your own saved foods, or a barcode, and see the carbohydrates add up before you eat. Group several foods and add them to your diary in one tap. READ A NUTRITION LABEL WITH THE CAMERA: Photograph a nutrition panel and Sukkari fills in the values for you. Both Arabic and English labels are read. Every value is shown for you to check against the pack before saving, with carbohydrate marked clearly. Readings it is not confident about are flagged rather than quietly accepted. YOUR OWN FOODS Save a scanned label as a private custom food, filed and ready to use again. Search your own foods alongside the main catalogue. FOOD DIARY Keep a record of what you ate, and when, organised as meal cards, so you and your care team can look back on it together. IN ARABIC AND ENGLISH Every screen works in both languages, right-to-left included, with a light and dark appearance. FOR PATIENTS AND THOSE CARING FOR THEM: Parents and carers manage a great deal of this on someone else's behalf. Sukkari is built to be used that way too. Sukkari supports the decisions you and your healthcare team have already agreed on. It does not replace medical advice. Your insulin-to-carb ratio, correction factor and blood sugar targets should be set with your doctor or diabetes educator, and label readings should always be checked against the package before you rely on them.
