Store description excerpt
Sudoku Pro is both: a full Sudoku to play, and a trainer that makes you better at it. Everything you expect from a Sudoku is here: 4x4, 6x6 and 9x9 across four tiers, plus Killer and Samurai, with notes, focus mode, undo, a daily puzzle, streaks and statistics. Every puzzle is generated fresh and has exactly one solution. Getting better comes along for the ride. Every hint names the technique it just used, and tutorial mode explains it on your own grid instead of a textbook example. If you only want to play, you never have to switch it on. I am a solo dev and I’ve been a Sudoku lover for years, but lately, finding a good app has felt like a puzzle of its own. And not the fun kind. I was tired of subscriptions. And why does a puzzle app need to track my location or share my data with advertisers? There is visual noise like flashing banners and "collect 100 gems" pop-ups that break my focus. I just want my coffee and a Sudoku. Call me a grumpy old man, but that isn’t much to ask for! I wanted a "Zen" experience. So, I built it myself. My goal: to create a clean, honest Sudoku for the App Store. * Pay once, keep forever: no subscriptions, no hidden IAPs, no ads, no account. Just a fair price for a tool that does its job. * Everything on your device: the app needs no internet. Your puzzles, your streak and your statistics stay where they belong. I don’t track you. I only care about your feedback! * Sudoku for kids and beginners: I included 4x4 and 6x6 grids so I could play with my kids and teach them the logic, while keeping the Expert 9x9 tough enough for the pros. Three ways to play, one purchase: * Classic in 4x4, 6x6 and 9x9, across four difficulty tiers. * Killer: cages with sums that tell you right away whether a sum still works out. * Samurai (iPad only): five overlapping 9x9 grids solved as one 21x21 frame. On iPad: the newspaper edition. The iPad gets a world of its own: a front page, an almanac, its own typography. Not a stretched iPhone. In pen mode the keypad folds away and the board takes the space. Prefer the familiar look? Switch to the classic layout. So what else is under the hood? * Hints that teach instead of tell: the solver names the technique it applied. It knows 13, including Naked Single, Hidden Single, X-Wing, Swordfish, Y-Wing, Jellyfish and XY-Chain. * Tutorial mode: learn advanced logic (not just guessing!) on your current grid, not on a textbook example. * Unique grids: every game is generated fresh, proven unique and solvable with its own tier’s techniques. * Daily puzzle: the same puzzle worldwide on any given day, with a streak and a calendar. * Ten handcrafted themes, from rainbow colors to high contrast. * Statistics, best streak and 15 achievements, all on your device with no sign-in. * Notes, blocked notes, auto notes, focus mode and helper mode. * Share your logic: export a timelapse video of your solve. * 45 languages. * A daily reminder at a time you choose, but only if you want one.
