Strongman Contest is the scoresheet for the person running the contest. Ten people, six events, one phone, no internet — and nobody arguing about the standings at the end. PLACE POINTS, DONE THE WAY THE SPORT DOES THEM With eleven entrants, winning an event is worth eleven points, second is worth ten. Ties split the points covering the places they tie for, so an event's total never changes however the field lands. That is the arithmetic, and getting it wrong ruins a contest. IT KNOWS A HOLD FROM A MEDLEY A medley is won by the fastest. A Hercules hold is won by whoever lasts longest. Both are timed in seconds, and a scoring app that sorts them the same way is worse than a sheet of paper. TURNING UP COUNTS Somebody who goes and fails still finishes above somebody who never started. A no-lift scores; a withdrawal does not. And nobody is handed an automatic zero for a turn they have not taken yet. EVENTS THAT MATCH YOUR GYM Log, axle, yoke, farmer's, stones, kegs, sleds, tyres and holds are built in — or write your own and call it what you like. Set the load, note the distance, cap the clock. FAST ENOUGH TO USE WITH CHALKY HANDS Two taps and a number. Separate boxes for minutes, seconds and hundredths, so nobody hunts for a colon between events. A RESULTS SHEET AT THE END Every event, every placing, the final standings. Share it to the group chat or print it for the wall before people leave. PUT THE STANDINGS ON A TELEVISION AirPlay to any modern TV and it shows a live board while your phone keeps the scoring screen. RUNS IN A BASEMENT WITH NO SIGNAL Entirely offline. No account, no signup, no server, no subscription.
