The Stroke Scales for EMS mobile app is a tool developed by the Get Ahead of Stroke campaign to help first responders assess stroke severity in the field. It is intended to supplement – not supersede – other resources available to first responders when treating stroke patients. Stroke Scales reflects the best available information on the diagnosis of stroke at the time this mobile app was created. The results of future studies may require modifications to Stroke Scales to reflect new data or other information.
